Focus on Fakro

Revolutionary Roof Windows

Fakro was founded in 1991 and has been dedicated to developmental research ever since. With a commitment to continual improvements, this forward-thinking company boasts a research department made up of over 100 expert engineers.

Thanks to this dedication, Fakro has released a number of patented products that you won’t find anywhere else. For one, its Z-Wave element in windows like the Fakro DEFD U8 Electric Opening Quadruple Glazed ‘Passive’ Flat-Glass Flat Roof Window is specifically designed for rooms with elevated humidity levels, such as kitchens and bathrooms, and comes with energy-saving double glazing and a remote control for completely automated operation.

Quality, All the Way

As well as offering plenty of innovative designs, Fakro is also dedicated to making sure each and every one of its products is exceptional. Its extensive Quality System is integrated into everything it does in order to exceed its customers’ expectations and surpass European safety standards.

Before any window is sold, it is put through more than 70 different control tests at each stage of production. Using state-of-the-art equipment, including 3D printers, Fakro thoroughly examines the thermal limitations of its windows. The glazing is placed inside special wind chambers, rain barrels and low-temperature compartments, ensuring it can withstand even the most extreme of conditions. Fakro flat roof windows such as Fakro DMC-C P4 Secure Manual Opening Double Glazed Domed Flat Roof Window also have excellent thermal insulation parameters and can help you improve the energy efficiency of your home.

Award-Winning Windows

Over the last few decades, Fakro has been granted numerous industry accolades, including winning prestigious prizes at the German Design Awards and the Build It Awards in 2019. Proving that its products offer style as well as substance, Fakro’s flat roof windows are equipped with an energy-efficient, triple glazing unit like Fakro DMFD U6 Manual Opening Triple Glazed Flat-Glass Flat Roof Window with toughened internal glass.
